New Flash Player

We installed a new flash player for in-browser viewing that shows the clip thumbnails inside the actual video. This new player enables members to more easily surf around the movie and skip to the parts they want to see. It also has an improved buffering script.
New Flash Player in Basic Template
The new flash player is installed in the Basic/Default template video pages and the FULL version embedded player.
The full version embedded player allows you to embed the player in another site or a custom template. The example below shows a video embedded in the theater view of Matt’s Models. Put simply, this means you can manage your content using Porn CMS and embed the content on another site (or sites).

The clips are still 1-minute each (configurable per-site) and automatically generated when you add a movie to your CMS. The quality settings of the flash videos are taken directly from the raw video file you uploaded. If your videos look bad, try re-encoding your original raw file at a higher framerate and/or a larger frame size.
To access the embed code for your videos, go to the VIDEOS page of your Porn CMS admin, click EDIT next to a video, and scroll down to the EMBED CODES section.

Latest Updates Box
I added a “Latest Updates” box to the right column of the default template this week. Its a flash applet that reads data from the RSS updates feed. Looks like this:
UPDATE: we’ve also added an on/off switch in the Configuration Admin for the flash updates box, the popular tags and the language translator.
“New” Flags in Navigation
Also added little NEW icons in the top nav bar of the default template for the Videos and Photos pages. Works the same as the flags in the content listing pages – shows when something has been added within the last 6 days.
Some Other Stuff
- PAL Videos – Resolved an issue encoding PAL movies this week. PAL movies now encode without a problem. The technical detail of the problem was actually the audio encoding. I thought it was a framerate issue, since PAL is encoded at 25 fps (all others are 29.97 fps), but it was actually the audio bitrate. PAL uses a bitrate that the ffmpeg engine doesn’t understand. So, I had to hardcode the correct audio rates (just a note for tech geeks).
UPDATE: All encoding settings can be modified in the CMS Configuration page.
- Warning Page & Firefox – For some reason the new Firefox 3 was ignoring the ENTER NOW button on the Warning page of the default template. It didn’t like the cookie request I think. I used an old-school forced approach and now it works fine in all browsers.
- Need Something Added? – Porn CMS is a work in progress. The features we’ve built so far are a reflection of the needs we’ve had working on the several adult sites we manage. Some of the features have also come from Porn CMS clients. If there’s something you need for your site that’s missing, or you don’t understand, please contact us so we can add it or help you. The goal here is profitable websites that don’t take shitloads of hours to manage. We all have better things to do than process content! lol
Sitemaps For Free

Tagging Made Easy

we were trying to figure out a way to add tags to content without having to remember what tags were already on the website.
so we created this little popup widget that shows all the tags previously added to any other content on the site.
